Podcasts

Podcasting is a way to transmit media files (pictures, audio, video) automatically to interested users. The user signs up for the "podcast" through one of the podcasting services (iTunes, Yahoo Podcasting, etc.), and they are notified and can download new content added as soon as it is added. The content then can often be downloaded on to the users' computer and even transferred onto an audio player.

Below is an example of what the podcast page on iTunes looks like. This particular user has subscribed to the "NPR: Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" podcast and the "Sanford Radio Sports Podcast." The user could download more episodes of Wait Wait by clicking on the grey "GET" button next to the episode info:
