nationwide survey about online
behavior and experiences by youth, aged 8-18:
Most parents have no idea that half
of teens (age 13-18) frequently communicate online with someone
they've never met in person.
Or that one-third have talked about meeting someone whom they've
only met through the Internet.
Or that nearly one in eight have learned that someone they
were communicating with online was an adult pretending to
be younger.
